Question by : where can I donate a car in Phoenix Arizona to help someone in need?
I have a used car that still runs and is in pretty good shape, I am looking for a charity worth donating it to in the Phoenix Arizona area that will give it to someone in need of transportation rather than be scrapped or auctioned off with a middle man taking a majority of the money before proceeds go to a charity that I will not be comfortable the money will make a noticble difference.

Maybe a place that will give it to a single parent or someone who lost thier car due to the economy?

Free Charity Cars based in florida picks up cars and fixes viable ones to be given to someone in need.

First, it’s really nice of you to do something like this. Many people should think like you when getting rid of items they no longer need.

I would try posting in Craiglist and verify the situation of the people that need it.

If nothing else, you can go to http://www.cardonationgov.org and look at other donating options
